About Pixie Jenkins
Pixie Jenkins is a country music legend and the greatest fiddle player in Australia. Pixie Jenkins is a true legend and survivor in the Australian country entertainment industry.
His solo shows have played to rave reviews for over a decade and everyone says he's still getting better! In over 35 years, as a professional entertainer Pixie Jenkins has won five coveted Golden Guitars at the Australian Country Music Awards.
He has performed for, recorded with and toured with, innumerable overseas and Australian music stars. Pixie has been honoured as the 22nd inductee to the Australian Country Music Wax Museum.
He has recorded many great albums and a couple of videos and has written, produced and performed five critically acclaimed, historical theatre shows at the now famous Pixieland Country Theatre at the Tamworth Country Music Festival.
One of Pixie's longest associations has been as fiddler to the extraordinarily gifted songwriter John Williamson. They met in 1981 and Pixie has played fiddle on almost all of John's recordings for over 20 years. John asked Pixie to join him onstage in 1987 and for the next 8 years one of the most loved performance partnerships in Australian entertainment history flourished.
During this time with 'Emu' as John is affectionatly called, Pixie won two coveted 'Golden Guitars' back to back at the Australian country music awards. Pixie continues to tour with John Williamson and perform in his own solo shows
