Paul is even funny and entertaining when he is being himself and can add lots more light relief to a serious message or heavy day session. His career as an impersonator began in the GTV9 announcers booth, taking off local personalities.
The word leaked to Graham Kennedy that here was a talent which could quickly raise a laugh with his mimicry! Paul soon became a regular on “In Melbourne Tonight."
In the early seventies, with current affairs television coming into its own, Mike Willesee grabbed him to fill a vacancy created by Paul Hogan. Paul stayed with Willesee for several years and then came a unique moment face to face with Hawke on television.
Paul has many TV credits - the voice behind Rubbery Figures seen on the Seven Network in a programme called Fast Forward. Steve Vizard's“Tonight Live" show saw an appearance by Paul which nearly caused a riot.
