About Carl Barron
Carl Barron is one of Australia's most popular comedians. His non-threatening observational style of comedy, described as gentle, awkward, self conscious, relaxed and quirky, appeals to a broad audience.
Since winning Comic of the Year and Best Up and Coming Talent in 1993, Carl has established himself as one of the most accomplished comedy performers in Australia and around the world.
Truly an international comedian, Carl has headlined at every major comedy venue both in Australia and internationally. Carl was one of two Australian comedians chosen to go to the prestigious Montreal Comedy Festival to perform in their Gala Night with Tim Allen.
While in the US he was also asked to perform at The Comic Strip in New York and The Boston Comedy Club where comedians such as Billy Crystal, Jerry Seinfeld and Adam Sandler started. Carl started his television career in 1997 and now has over 50 television spots behind him both in Australia and abroad.
He is probably best known for his many appearances on Channel Nine's The Footy Show and his numerous appearances on The Midday Show and Hey Hey It's Saturday
