About The Ten Tenors
In 2002, The Ten Tenors surprised the music world when they burst onto the scene making a guest appearance at the Eurovision Grand Prix in Germany before a live audience of 15 000, and a televised audience of over 20 million.
The press hailed the Tenors' clever and virtuosic medley of the finalists' songs as the highlight of the evening. Since then they have maintained a relentless touring schedule with sell-out concerts throughout Europe, America and Asia.
They've appeared alongside such artists as Rod Stewart, Andre Boccelli, Willie Nelson, Sophie Ellis-Baxter and Hot Chocolate. However, what appeared to be an overnight success was the result of years of touring the weird and wonderful venues of Australian outback towns.
It was there that the group's obvious camaraderie developed and their unparalleled fusion of artistry, musicianship and comedy was born. The ensemble formed in 1995 while the tenors were university students, studying for careers in opera.
The Ten Tenors created and performed their first full-length show in 1998, while still full time students, and were undertaking an intensive touring schedule in Australia before the completion of that academic year. They have been a committed musical tour de force ever since.
Heroically striding through the classical tenor repertoire, swaying through the ballads of the Neapolitan crooners, and highlighting their youth with critically acclaimed performances of rock classics, The Ten Tenors and their unmistakable Australian charm have captured the hearts of countless fans worldwide
