About Gerry Connolly
Gerry Connolly is regarded by many as Australia's best impersonator. Gerry Connolly is an amazing comedian, actor and impressionist and is acknowledged as one of the top performers in Australia.
Gerry’s trademark is his ability to combine incredible characterisations of famous personalities with his own hysterical scripts. His hilarious impersonations of royalty, retiring superstars and politicians enthral audiences with his warm, yet gleefully wicked humour.
Gerry's satirical caricatures include Margaret Thatcher, Bill Collins, Sir Joh Bjelke Petersen, Bishop Desmond Tutu, Dame Joan Sutherland and, of course, Her Majesty The Queen. Gerry Connolly is recognised nationally from his appearances at prestigious functions as well as his television work.
He has appeared as Sir Joh at the TV Week Logie Awards, his Bill Collins character was co-host on Tonight Live with Steve Vizard for Channel 7’s live air cross to the Australian Film Industry (AFI) Awards.
Gerry was also a regular on the weekly Channel 7 hit series Fast Forward. He was also involved in the roast of Channel Nine’s Brian Henderson on his retirement from the Network.
A great favourite at launches, functions or corporate events, Gerry Connolly tailors his characters' moods and material to fit each occasion!
