About Chris Kelly
Chris Kelly is an award winning cartoonist, caricaturist and illustrator. He brings a wide range of experiences to his work as a caricaturist.
He has worked variously as a teacher, university tutor, university housing manager, Eastern European tour manager and political party convenor.
His cartoons, caricatures and satirical sculptures are regularly exhibited at the Australian National Museum. The National Trust commissioned a complete set of postcard caricatures of Australian Prime Ministers from Barton to Howard. These are now on sale at Parliament House, Old Parliament House and the Australian National Museum in Canberra.
The Bob Hawke and John Curtin Prime Ministerial libraries have acquired the original caricatures for their library collections. In 2000 he was the winner of the Rotary Club's International Cartoon Award.
Chris was recently invited to visit Shanghai for several weeks to caricature clients of the French firm Carrefour, members of the Benelux Executive Club and the Shanghai Rackets Club among others
