About Trevor Marmalade
Trevor Marmalade is an acknowledged pioneer of Melbourne's stand up comedy circuit, but has achieved his greatest success as a co-host of the Logie winning Footy Show with Eddie McGuire and Sam Newman.
He's the guy behind the bar making everyone laugh. He can also be heard on Radio 3AW with Dr Turf and Tony Leonard taking Melbourne's favourite past times AFL and horse racing apart like never heard before.
Until 1999 Trevor was a regular guest and roving reporter on Hey Hey It's Saturday. Here he became a household name for his witty, tongue in check live crosses.
Trevor began his career performing stand up comedy over 15 years ago. Trevor has performed stand up comedy at all major comedy venues throughout Australia including Last Laugh, The Comedy Store, The Comedy Club, theatres in every state, countless hotels, clubs and private functions and all comedy festivals.
He has also been a support act to Ben Elton, Michael Winslow and toured with Russell Gilbert and Mick Molloy. Recognised for his quick wit and keen knowledge of sport, Trevor moved into radio writing for shows such as The Cage, Punter to Punter, Kick to Kick, The Coodabeen Champions, 3LO Footy Forum, and Neil Mitchell Drive Time.
It was during this time that Trevor formed The Grill Team with Eddie McGuire which aired on Triple M. The show was so successful that it was moved to the drive time slot.
Trevor was a comedy writer for The Comedy Company, The Big Gig, Larger than Life and Hey Hey It's Saturday.
