About Johanna Griggs
Johanna Griggs was host of Channel Seven's Auction Squad. She is also an ambassador for the women's magazine New Idea.
In recent years Johanna has also been a regular panellist on Foxtel's Beauty and the Beast and a regular guest on ABC TV's sports panel show, The Fat and ABC TV's Good News Week.
She reported for shows such as Sportsworld and Sydney Weekender, and hosted The AFL Half Time Show. In 1994 and 1995, Johanna hosted Seven's Summer of Tennis, and worked as a commentator and presenter of the 1994 World Swimming Championships from Rome.
She was also Channel Seven's first female presenter of the Weekend Sports News. Together with Andrew Daddo, Johanna also hosted Seven's Olympic breakfast show, Olympic Sunrise.
Johanna Griggs was one of Australia's youngest Commonwealth Games swimmers. She was just 16 years-old when she was selected for the Auckland Commonwealth Games.
Johanna represented Australia for a number of years, winning Bronze at the Auckland Games in 1990 and a Silver Medal in the Medley Relay at the 1991 World Championships in Perth.
She was the first Australian (female) swimmer to break the 30 second barrier for the 50m backstroke. After announcing her retirement from swimming in May 1993, Johanna joined the Seven Network.
