About Angela Catterns
Angela Catterns began her radio career at Lismore's local station 2LM, followed by several years in Orange working at CBN8 TV.
She then decided to move back to her native Sydney after working as a sound recordist on a documentary shot in Papua New Guinea.
She then joined the team that started up the highly popular kids' television show, "Simon Townsend's Wonder World".
In the mid-80s, Angela joined the ABC youth network, Triple J, as producer of its morning show, before being lured to commercial radio to present mornings on 2SM.
After that came a position at SBS as a researcher and producer, then a stint overseas, fulfilling a long-held ambition to work in American radio, where she landed an on-air shift at top-rating WKYS in Washington DC.
Returning to Sydney in 1990, Angela rejoined the ABC as presenter of Triple J's morning show. She also hosted the network's drive program before making the move to ABC Local Radio, presenting the evening program across New South Wales.
Angela resigned from ABC 702 in June 2005 after more than three years presenting breakfast. In August 2005 Angela joined Vega 953 FM as the breakfast presenter.
In mid 2006 Rebecca Wilson and Tony Squires joined Angela as the new VEGA FM breakfast team.
