About Wendy Harmer
Wendy Harmer is Australia's best known comedienne and a veteran of the Edinburgh, Montreal and Glasgow and Mayfest Festivals.
Wendy joined Sydney's top rating radio station 2 Day FM in the 1993 to lead the Breakfast show team. Wendy remained at 2 Day FM for 11 years. These days she can be heard hosting the morning show Vega Cafe on the new Sydney radio station Vega FM.
Since leaving 2 Day FM Wendy has completed her first novel soon to be published by Allen and Unwin. Wendy was the host of the ABC television series The Big Gig, co-starred in the critically acclaimed World Series Debates with Andrew Denton and host of her own chat show In Harmers Way.
A former political journalist, Wendy is the author of three books for adults; It's a Joke Joyce a book on Australian women?s humour, Love Gone Wrong a humorous look at failed relationships and So Anyway a collection of her weekly columns from The Sydney Morning Herald's Good Weekend Magazine.
She has been a contributing columnist for The Australian Women's Weekly, New Weekly and HQ
