About Singleman & Swan
Glenn Singleman and Heather Swan have set a new world record for altitude BASEjumping and Wingsuit BASE by climbing Mt Meru (6660m) in India and jumping from a ledge at 6604m.
After six years of hard work Glenn and Heather are thrilled to have achieved their dream. Glenn describes the expedition as 'the hardest thing he's ever done.' It took 22 days to climb the mountain and prepare the jump site.
The achievement is not only a World Record, it is a world first for women. Heather Swan is the only woman in the world to combine high altitude Wingsuit BASEjumping and mountaineering.
The BASEClimb team of nine, had five woman. They believe that the jump would not have been possible without such a strong team.
BASEClimb 3 was lead by dual world record holding extreme sportsman, Dr. Glenn Singleman. Glenn and Heather have been training for the BASEClimb 3 project since 2000. Their journey has been one giant roller coaster ride, but their commitment, tenacity and refusal to quit has finally paid off.
Their presentation entitled "Flight of the Mind" includes incredible images and footage from the climb and jump and builds on their adventure experiences of the last 6 years.
During the presentation they powerfully demonstrate that with vision, commitment and determination, even the most outrageous goals can be achieved.
