About Geoff Jansz
Television host and chef, Geoff Jansz, can be seen on the Nine Network with The Weekly's Food Director Lyndey Milan, on Fresh TV.
Geoff holds a cooking philosophy of using fresh seasonal ingredients to produce healthy and delicious meals. He believes that cooking is something that everybody can enjoy and inspires his audience to discover its joys and rewards.
Graduating from Sydney University in 1984, with a Bachelor of Pharmacy, Geoff worked as a pharmacist for three years. His interest in food and wine took over and Geoff opened his own restaurant in Picton where he began honing his garden to table concept - championing great produce by growing it as well as serving it.
Geoff was part of the Burke's Backyard team from 1995 presenting cooking segments. In addition, Geoff hosted What's Cooking for the Nine Network until 1999 and was a regular contributor to Australian Gourmet Traveller magazine profiling the best produce Australia had to offer and our local food industries from 1987 to 1992.
He describes himself as a 'gastronaut' and loves travelling the world and relishes the different produce and places. Geoff is the author of three books: Taking the Freshest Approach, Favourite Recipes, a collection of recipes along with lots of useful hints and Geoff Jansz Desserts.
Geoff lives with his wife and family on his farm in the Southern Highlands of NSW where he grows a large variety of fruit and vegetables
