About Steve Liebmann
Steve Liebmann is one of the nation's most respected broadcasters and television anchors.
Co-hosting the long-running Nine Network Today program since it was launched in 1982, Liebmann has interviewed Presidents, Prime Ministers, Royalty and the world's leading entertainers and sportsmen and women and is considered one of our fairest, most impartial and objective journalists.
Steve grew-up in Cooma at the base of the Snowy Mountains where he began his 45-year career in rural, regional and capital city radio and television.
In his 28 years as a Sydney-based broadcaster Steve Liebmann has developed an enviable reputation as a well-informed, objective communicator.
He has been Director of News and Current Affairs at Radio 2UE (1972-1976). Along with the late Brian White and John Tingle, he launched the new News and Public Affairs component of Radio 2SM's programming in 1976 and went on to produce award-winning documentaries that received international acclaim.
Steve is also one of Australia’s finest corporate MCs and panel facilitators.
