About John Mangos
Popular newsman, John Mangos, has been a familiar face on national television for more than 22 years.
John started his television career in 1978. He spent fourteen years with National Nine News where he worked in the Federal Parliamentary press gallery in Canberra, was state political correspondent in New South Wales, and a United States correspondent for 2 years.
On his return to Australia John made documentaries for the Nine Network, hosted the Our World program and was a roving reporter for the Midday Show. John left Nine to the present Network Ten’s Eyewitness News.
Next the Seven Network offered him the opportunity to host his own chat show. For two years John was the host of Home with Mangos.
These days John is a senior anchorman with Sky News - a role he has held since the launch of the 24-hour news service in 1996.
He is also co-hosts the weekly interview series Viewpoint and can be heard from time to time on Radio station 2UE.
On the corporate scene John is an accomplished Master of Ceremonies.
