About Richard Neville
Richard Neville is Australia's most controversial futurist. He believes that as change accelerates we need to switch our foresight to high beam.
Richard has been a practicing futurist since 1963, when he launched Oz Magazine that widened the boundaries of free speech on two continents. In the 80s Richard joined Channel Nine's Midday Show where he reported on popular culture, wild ideas and the quest for sustainability.
As an author and social commentator his discussion of trends, innovation, the new consumer, information technology and globalization was now seen on national television. These segments then evolved into the Channel Ten series Extra Dimensions.
In the 90s, through a variety of media Richard explored the new role for business in the 21st century. This led to the publication of his essay collection Out of My Mind. He also published his sixties memoir Hippie Hippie Shake.
In the new millennium, Richard published another two books entitled Amerika Psycho and Footprints of the Future. A co-founder of the Australian Futures Foundation, Richard has built a corporate practice as a professional futurist, offering an array of tools and techniques for surfing the waves of change.
While his content is widely varied depending on the needs of his clients his aim is to empower audiences to contemplate a range of possible futures.
Is there a pattern behind the blur? What are the driving forces of change? How will our lives be affected? As well as dealing with the perils and promise of what lies ahead, Richard offers his audience a range of take-away tools for decoding the future.
