About Shelley Taylor-Smith
Shelley Taylor-Smith is one of the greatest athletes in the world. She has rewritten the record books, and has set new standards in marathon swimming with her record seven consecutive world titles - a feat that has never been repeated.
From 1984 to 1997, Shelley achieved consecutive victories against the best men in the sport worldwide and in 1991 gained the number one World Ranking in Marathon Swimming for both men and women the first time this had ever been achieved by woman - and to date the last!
Possessing the incredible capacity to remain focused on her dreams Shelley Taylor-Smith overcame the physical and mental challenges of paralysis and chronic fatigue syndrome to attain the goals she set for herself. In doing so she created her life's motto: "If you don't quit, you will make it."
Having broken record after record in one of the world’s toughest sports arenas, Shelley now uses her amazing marathon swimming experiences to inspire Champions of tomorrow to develop a champion's mindset today. By sharing her winning formula Shelley challenges her audiences to think like a champion and stay a winner.
During her presentations Shelley reveals how to; think as a champion, set champion smart goals, create a winner’s attitude, deal with stress, achieve peak performance, identify and implement change, enjoy the hard yakka, and how to bring out your personal best while staying focussed on your needs, values and vision.
