About Speaker Max Walker
In the space of five decades Max Walker has travelled an amazing road from schoolboy sporting prodigy to having one of the most recognisable faces and voices in Australia.
Along the way he managed to play Test Cricket in a golden era and VFL/AFL for the Melbourne Football Club. Academically he qualified from RMIT and practiced as an architect for 10 years. A natural communicator Max’s transition from the hallowed turf of the Melbourne Cricket Ground to the world of media was also seamless.
He will be always be remembered as the host of Channel Nine’s Wide World of Sports. A natural story teller Max has also written 13 books of which 7 have been best sellers with sales in excess of 1,000,000 copies.
Max is also a hands on Director of four companies. Today his smile and integrity continue to spearhead many creative and successful advertising campaigns. On the platform Max is an exceptional all rounder.
It’s not unusual for Max to be asked to MC, deliver a keynote speech and mingle with delegates on the golf course all at the same event. Max is a winner limited only by the imagination. And he’s very user friendly.
