About Speaker James Carlopio
James Carlopio has been a member of the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM) since 1990 where he has been a regular contributor to the executive education and MBA programs.
James was the Director of the AGSM’s Accelerated Development Program, a three-week residential executive development program for high-potential managers, from 1994 to 1997.
His education has focused on psychology with a B.A., an M.A. and a Ph. D. in Applied and Organisational Psychology. James has worked on projects for numerous Australian and U.S. corporations, most recently in the areas of the implementation of innovation and new technology, organisational change, personal change and influence, negotiation and conflict resolution, organisational and management development, business process redesign, and strategy implementation and planning.
During the past fifteen years he has regularly conducted programs in organisational and personal change, communication and interpersonal skills, negotiation and conflict resolution, and organisational behaviour. James has published over two-dozen articles and three books on various socio-technical issues, and writes a regular section for the Australian Financial Review BOSS magazine.
He has been a facilitator of short-term meetings and large-scale organisational change, and a speaker at numerous meetings on organisational strategy, cybernetics, human factors/ergonomics, human technology, and organisational behaviour.
