About Speaker Robin Daubeny
For fourteen years Robin Daubeny was regarded as one of the top professional cyclists in Australia, winning major races on both road and track.
After retiring as a cyclist, Robin joined major insurance company National Mutual as an insurance agent and was an instant success.
He became the highest earning first year agent in the company's history and established records which still stand today. After two years selling in the field, Robin was appointed as a district sales manager.
His job was to recruit, train, manage and motivate insurance agents and to build sales teams. During the next twenty-four years Robin established three sales teams from scratch. Each one became National Mutual's top sales team in Australia. During his long career with National Mutual, Robin won many awards including the "Ageny Manager of the Year" award eight times—the only person to win the award more than once.
After 25 years at the top Robin now consults to a wide range of professional Industries. Robin has spoken to Sales Managers and Sales Teams all over Australia and overseas in the areas of attitude, motivation, productivity, teamwork, sales, marketing, goal setting and time management.
Robin presented at the prestigious Million-Dollar Round Table in the USA in June 2004, becoming only the third Australian to do so.
