About Speaker Emma Alberici
Emma Alberici has been a finance and business journalist for over ten years. She first joined the Herald Sun in Melbourne and worked under Terry Mcrann as the Small Business and Finance Editor. In 1994 She joined Channel Nine as a Reporter and worked on programs such as Money and Business Sunday.
While at Nine she also presented the financial markets report on the Today Show on Saturday, and regularly took the seat on the Early News and the Today Show for Channel Nine's finance editor, Michael Pascoe. She also helped to develop the Small Business Show. Emma then joined the reporting team on A Current Affair in 1997.
In 1995, Emma was commissioned to write The Small Business Book. It became the most popular small business book on the market with more than 55,000 copies sold and two subsequent editions printed. Emma left Nine to take a role as host of ABC Television's morning business program Business Breakfast.
She is currently The 7.30 Report's Economics Editor. In 2001, Emma was a Walkley Award finalist for her investigation into the mistreatment of taxpayers by the Tax Office and the new rural industries jeopardised by the Tax Office's blanket judgment against tax effective investments.
