About Janine Perrett
With a history in cutting edge issues, finance and foreign conflict, Janine Perrett's career has been one of the diversity and challenge. A consummate professional, Janine gives insight into the worlds of television and print media, whilst providing relevant views on small business and world news issues. Janine hosts The Small Business Show for Channel 9 and reports for both Business Sunday and Sunday on the same network.
For 25 years Janine has had extensive experience as a foreign correspondent and business journalist. Janine began writing news for The Australian newspaper in Melbourne and later the head office in Sydney.
In 1984 she was appointed The Australian's London correspondent and in 1985 was transferred to the New York bureau where she worked as foreign correspondent for four years.
She has also been a regular columnist for The Sydney Morning Herald, The Daily Telegraph and The Australian newspapers. Since August, she has had her own Business Network Page appearing in The Sydney Morning Herald and Age each Friday.
Janine Perrett also has extensive experience as conference chairperson, debate moderator and master of ceremonies. An engaging speaker, Janine's in-depth understanding and knowledge of business journalism, foreign correspondence and world news, together with her unique experiences made her an accomplished presenter or compere.
