About Jeremy Moon
Jeremy Moon is Managing Director of New Zealand's largest adventure-wear exporter - the 100% New Zealand merino wool Icebreaker. Jeremy established the brand in 1995. Today the company is market leaders for merino outdoor clothing in Australia, Canada, Denmark, Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Japan, and most recently USA. Icebreaker supplies over 1400 stores across 20 countries. In 2001 and 2002 Icebreaker was a top ten member on the Deloittes Fast 50, a register of the 50 fastest growing companies in New Zealand.
He has grown his Wellington-based team from 1 to 50, has a team of 35 in Europe and 25 in the USA. Jeremy Moon and Icebreaker has won major awards worldwide. These include the Merino New Zealand Inaugural Innovation Award 1996, Ernst and Young - Inaugural Young Entrepreneur of the Year 1998, Best New & Emerging Exporter to the USA (2003), 2003 Design in Business Award, 2004 Winner: Apparel Sector – Microsoft Search for NZ’s Most Exciting Companies and 2005 “Best of the Best” clothing and footwear category winner, The Top 800 companies in New Zealand.
During his presentations Jeremy speaks about his approach to brand development, the business model he has developed and other aspects of business, particularly marketing. Jeremy holds a Business Degree with Honours in Marketing.
