About Tricia Duffield
Tricia Duffield had her sights set on a career as a ballet dancer but flat feet and short legs meant that journalism was a more likely vocation, she decided to pursue a degree course at Curtin University.
She was offered a cadetship at the Sunday Independent newspaper and quickly made her mark as one of its best investigative and feature journalists, winning Cadet of the Year.
When Radio 6PR became a news and talk format, Tricia was an obvious choice to join the team as a field reporter and newsreader.
Tricia was then offered an on camera role with a new current affairs programme, Terry Willesee's Perth. She then joined a rival current affairs show, State Affair.
After a working break from the media Tricia began a new career as a fitness leader, winning the 1993 State Aerobic Championship, before returning to the media as a writer for the Sunday Times.
She then moved to Sydney, to produce the Howard Sattler Show for radio 2SM and hosted her own morning show. In 2004, she moved to Brisbane as the Breakfast Host for the top rating 612 ABC Brisbane.
Tricia is now back in Sydney and is a freelance writer for various magazines, freelance radio producer and presenter, public speaker and first time author
