About Janine Allis
Janine Allis is the Founder and Managing Director of the hugely successful Boost Juice Franchise. She is also the most successful businesswoman of her generation and she is the highest ranking female on BRW magazine's Young Rich list.
Looking for alternatives to junk food snacks, working mother of three Janine Allis hit on the idea of setting up 'Boost Juice', a fresh juice bar. With no business qualifications she set up her first store in Adelaide in May 2000. Janine believed that with a positive approach, anything was possible.
Today the company has a network of 155 stores throughout Australia and New Zealand, with around 80 percent of stores owned by franchise partners. Janine adopted a franchising strategy to aid the company's expansion, an increasingly popular option within the small business sector.
Twenty per cent of Boost Juice stores remain company-owned. "The reason we went down the franchising path was that "We needed great people who believed in the concept to run the stores. That meant ownership."
In October 2004 Janine Allis was named Telstra Business Woman of the Year. The business was named Australia's Fastest Growing Franchise in BRW. Boost has approximately 2,000 employees and an estimated turnover of $75 million for 2004-2005. Janine's "can-do" attitude has been the key to Boost's success.
