About Speaker Clark Perry
Dr Clark Perry's great successes with elite athletes, sports coaches, business leaders and sporting teams such as the Australian Swimming Team, Australian Cycling and the ARU Wallabies has earned him a reputation as a world leader in sport psychology, leadership and team development.
Prior to his arrival in Australia, Clark was Senior Vice-President at Quantum Constructions, Inc, a successful commercial construction company located in the metropolitan New York area, and a lecturer in the Psychology of Human Performance at Temple University in Philadelphia.
In 1990, Clark accepted a position as Senior Psychologist at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra. The opportunity to associate with the world's best residential training centre for elite athletes was a dream come true and instigated the move down under.
For more than a decade Dr Clark Perry has mentored and worked closely with a wide array of elite athletes, attending four Olympic Games, the Commonwealth Games, the World Championships, the Pan Pacific Swimming Championships, and the Super 12 Grand Finals.
He earned his Bachelors Degree from Trenton State College in Psychology, a Masters and Doctorate Degree (ABD) from Temple University in the Psychology of Human Movement and a Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy.
In 2000, Clark was presented with the Australian Sports Medal by the Governor General for his contribution to sport in Australia and continues to work with elite athletes and a range of corporate clients assisting them to further develop their potential and leadership capabilities.
Together with Andy Shea, Dr Clark Perry wrote Elite: 11 Steps to Success in Business, the Arts and Sport.
