About Kaz Cooke
Kaz Cooke is one of Australia's well known and most recognisable Cartoonists, Writers and Radio Presenters. She is co-host of the Today FM Breakfast Show with Peter Helliar and Judith Lucy.
Prior to this Kaz presented the national radio show with Judith Lucy called Foxy Ladies on the Austereo network. She is the best selling Author of; Kidwrangling, The Baby Book, Up The Duff: The Real Guide to Pregnancy; Real Gorgeous - The Truth About Body and Beauty, Get a Grip, Get Another Grip, Living With Crazy Buttocks (newspaper column collections), and the mega-selling send-ups in the 'Little Book' series: Little Book of Stress, The Little Book of Dumb Feng Shuito and The Little Book of Diet and Exercise.
Kaz has also co-authored a sensible women's health book Women's Trouble with Ruth Trickey. She has also written a children's book The Terrible Underpants.
Kaz currently writes the "Memo" column for Who Weekly. Other regular column contributions include: The Age, The Sunday Age, The Sydney Morning Herald and The Australian. She also provides regular cartoons for The Australian Women's Weekly.
She is the inventor of the cartoon character Hermoine the Modern Girl (pronounced Her-moy-nee.) Modern Girls (and guys) of all ages love Hermoine's funny and sensible takes on life. The animated film Gorgeous featuring cartoon character Hermoine the Modern Girl, was the winner of the 1994 AFI award for Best Short Animated Film.
