How does it work? David Cummings poses as a Very Important Person ... call him Alistair Basil, usually a consultant from the UK on a flying visit to Australia. The audience thinks he's real. And why shouldn't they? This man is very powerful and convincing as he shocks and bamboozles his audience by having fun with sacred cows like teamwork, leadership and customer service. Staying in character, he then moves seamlessly into comedy.
Years as a TV comedy writer in the UK have given David the expertise to tailor the presentation especially for your industry or organisation. If the audience know each other well they can be included in the laughs.
Who is David Cummings? He is a man who has been paid money all his life for talking to people, writing and performing. Born in London, he left school to become a salesman by day and a club comedian by night. He has also run his own companies producing movies and records working with the BBC, Decca Records and EMI.
David also has 20 years experience as a comedy writer creating television shows for everyone from Dave Allen to Dick Emery, Tom Jones to Rolf Harris. David was brought to Sydney by Reg Grundy to work for Grundy Television. Now he's back to speaking behind the lectern, sending up corporate cliches and making the people laugh
