About Lisa Curry
Lisa Curry is the winner of 15 gold, 7 silver and 8 bronze International medals and is the only Australian swimmer to have held Commonwealth and Australian records in every stroke except backstroke.
She competed in three Olympics; Moscow in 1980, Los Angeles in 1984 and Barcelona in 1992. On retirement from swimming after the Barcelona Olympics, Lisa pursued other sporting interests and business opportunities.
An expert on self-management, these days Lisa juggles family, sport, business and leisure time to create a lifestyle that is challenging, rewarding, satisfying, sometime stressful, but mostly fun. She says that real success is living your life the way you want it to be, that life is full of opportunities and the direction you take is totally up to you.
Her group of Companies includes swimwear, property development, aviation, promotional services, personal endorsements and health and fitness books. Her successful outgoing personality has also seen her work as a presenter for the Channel Nine Wide World of Sport program and to promote Queensland as a tourist destination for the Queensland Tourist and Travel Corporation.
Lisa has been associated with Uncle Tobys products since 1983 and has appeared in television commercials promoting their muesli bars. She is spokesperson for Fernwood Fitness Centre and is the face for P&O.
Lisa recently fulfilled another ambition by coaching and competing with her outrigger team, the Riggeroos, to win two World Championships in the 72km Outrigger Canoe race in Hawaii - the first Australian team to do so in the history of the race.
On the conference circuit Lisa is one of Australia's most in demand motivational speakers and MC's
