About Andrew Paschalidis
Andrew Paschalidis has been involved in the sports media since 1983 starting his cadetship with the popular Australian and British Soccer Weekly newspaper.
In 1984, Andrew began his long association with SBS Television in Wollongong. A year later a full-time move into radio beckoned with Andrew joining Sydney radio station 2GB.
It was only a matter of time before Andrew was to make a full-time move into television. In 1986 he accepted a position with SBS becoming the youngest host of a national sports show -"Sport Report Australia".
Eight years with SBS established Andrew as one of Australia's most popular soccer broadcasters. Along the way he hosted and commentated some of the biggest soccer tournaments including the 1990 and 1994 World Cups.
In 1995 came perhaps an even more significant step - pay television. Andrew joined Fox Sports and has hosted numerous programmes.
The highlights have been endless but interviews with Sir Alex Ferguson, Sir Alan Ball, Ian Rush, Gary Bailey, Gerard Houllier, Martin Tyler, Norman Whiteside, Kenny Dalglish, Vinnie Jones, Harry Kewell, Bryan Robson and Bobby Robson stand out.
In case you are wondering about Andrew's sporting background, he has represented Australia at Indoor Soccer.
He has also played soccer at NSW State Federation Division Three level.
Perhaps his greatest sporting achievement was completing the 1991 Forster Ironman Triathlon - 3.8 kilometre swim, 180 kilometre cycle and 42.2 kilometre run.
