About Chris Handy
Chris "Buddha" Handy, few names are more synonymous in the world of rugby than this larger than life sporting icon. Despite representing his country in six internationals, it is his deeds and prose in the commentary box that have made him instantly recognisable to rugby fans across the globe.
Chris played some 54 games for his State as Queensland rose from virtual obscurity to world famous rugby provincial status that it now enjoys. He went on to earn his Wallaby colours in the late seventies as a 'tough as teak' prop. He joined a rather select band of Wallabies to have lifted the Bledisloe Cup on two occasions after victories against arch rivals the New Zealand all Blacks.
His post-Wallaby resume is the envy of every enthusiast. He has commentated the televised coverage of every World Cup (1987 to 2003), as well as the Super 10 and 12 Tournaments.
Buddha's capabilities are not limited to the world of rugby commentary. He is in constant demand as a guest speaker, both in the rugby and corporate arena, captivating his audience with endless stories, sharp wit and his unique style.
